Colorbond vs timber fencing for rural properties — which is better?
Colorbond is fire-rated, low maintenance and stands up to wind and damp without rotting — strong for exposed rural blocks. Timber looks more natural and is easier to repair panel by panel, but it needs treating and checks over time. We'll recommend based on your block, bushfire zone and budget.

How deep should fence posts be set on the Coffs Coast?
Posts need to go deep enough to hold in wet, shifting coastal soil — generally around 600mm for a standard residential fence, deeper on exposed or sloping ground. We set every post in concrete and haunch it so it stays plumb through wind and wet. Skimping on depth is the main reason fences lean, so we don't.
